Come to The Land of Odd Gallery’s 5×7″ Group Show, opening on the evening of March 13, 2010 from 6pm to 12am. We will also be continuing our $100 and Under Art Show so if you missed getting to see it, now is your chance to come by and check it out. This event will be held in conjunction with the NELA 2nd Saturday art walk. As always refreshments will be served and the event is FREE!

We are proud to have the following artists participating in the 5×7″ show: Chito Arellano, Christie Bastet, Jeff Bertrand, Julie Bossinger, Deryke Cardenaz, Jennifer Cuellar, Brad Davis, Jolly de Guzman, Diane Harrelson, Chuck Hodi, Edith Ben Horin, Jinx, Bruce Kaplan, Patrick Quinn, Pablo Ramos, Monica Roache, Annalise Sullivan, Jason Sullivan, Melissa Sullivan, and Christopher Umana. Most of these works have been created especially for this event and have never been exhibited before, so come by and show your support.

Mention the phrase — “Leggo my FREE print” — and you may choose a FREE 5×7″ linoleum print. You might want to mention it to someone who works at the gallery. Otherwise people will just think you are weird.

On February13th The Land of Odd Gallery held it’s opening reception for our $100 and Under Art Show which in addition to the work of over 40 artists featured live painting by Santiago Heredia. Below is a time lapse video of Santiago creating two works. The show runs until March 27th and we have added additional work that was not present during the opening.

This event will feature; skate decks and a window display by artist Deryke Cardenaz, paintings by artists Kebe Fox and Gabriela Hernandez, pen and ink work by artists Pablo Ramos and David Daniel, assemblage works by artist Patrick Quinn, creepy dolls by artist Christie Bastet, mobiles by artist Matt Mays, Cinnamon Roll Gang dolls and Mutant Bags by designer Marcel de Jure, lino cuts by artists Jason Sullivan and Melissa Sullivan and prints from artist Lea Barozzi.
